One lucky acoustic blues act will get to perform at the Gallo Center for the Arts before legendary blues artist B.B. King takes the stage on Feb. 25.
The Gallo Center and The Modesto Bee are sponsoring a contest in which Modesto-area acoustic blues acts -- solo, duet, trio or quartet -- will vie for the chance to be the warmup act for B.B. King's concert at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 25.
B.B. King's management, informed of the popular vote in the contest, will decide who gets to open the show.
