One lucky country music act will get to perform at the Gallo Center for the Arts before award-winning singer-songwriter Phil Vassar takes the stage on April 21.
The Gallo Center and The Modesto Bee are sponsoring a contest in which Modesto-area country singers and musicians will vie for the chance to be the warmup act for Vassar’s concert at 7 p.m. on April 21.
The deadline to submit entries to the contest has passed, but voting is under way. Registered users may vote once per day.
A panel of judges at the Gallo Center, informed of the popular vote in the contest, will decide who gets to open the show.
