Welcome to The Modesto Bee's Awesome Tattoo Contest!
We're asking readers to submit photos of their favorite tattoo, subject to the following conditions:
- You must be 18 or older to enter.
- Photos must be taken by the entrant or by a friend or family member who has given permission for the photo to be used. No professional or studio photographs may be entered.
- The tattoos in the photos may not contain any gang associations, obscenities, racist or other symbols or language deemed objectionable by contest administrators.
- The tattoos may be on the entrant's arms, legs, hands, feet, neck, scalp, shoulders or back. A "tramp stamp" is OK as long as the image is cropped closely so as not to reveal any cleavage.
- The tattoos may not be on or display any part of the entrant's genitalia, including women's breasts.
Yes. As long as you meet the submission deadline of 5 p.m. on Sept. 23. The voting deadline is 5 p.m. on Sept. 30.
Yes. There's one prize: The person whose tattoo is the favorite among the voters will win a tattoo valued at up to $200 from Razer's Living Ink Tattoo during the Music and Body Art Expo in Lodi, Calif., on Oct. 1, 2 and 3. The winner must be able to attend the Expo and must agree to have the tattoo done during the Expo.
